There's A Lot of Buffy Going On Around Here...

I took this with my iPhone!
It's raining, it's pouring! We have tornado warnings in Jersey and the roads are flooded and cables are coming down all over the place! I took a picture of myself when I was coming in off my lunch break. Just take a look at my arms. Totally drenched. My pretty braid I had going on was destroyed, I had to stuff my back with paper towels to dry myself. Just horrible weather. These are the days I like to snuggle up under a blanket with hot chocolate and read a book. I finished the first Sookie Stackhouse novel! Can't wait to get another! They had a deal on ebay for the whole set but this is a crazy weeks for apartment bills so I really don't have the extra cash to get the set. It is $40 for 8 books including the one I have already but $8 a book at the store. So I'd be saving money if I bought the set but I really am going nuts not having that to read every night. It was the perfect way to end my night.

I think I found a good dress for the wedding I have coming up. I was going crazy trying to find one. I already knew I wanted it to be blue and my boyfriend is the best man in the wedding so I know I am going to be in lots of pictures. I plan on my hair being a lot blonder so I wanted a pretty blue dress to go with it that wouldn't break the bank. I was thinking I would rent on on Rent the Runway but by the time tax and shipping come in I could end up buying a dress I like for the price and being able to keep it. Sure, it wouldn't be an Alice and Olivia dress but no one around here besides me really is crazy interested in fashion. I am a lone wolf I tell ya. Anyway I was looking on ebay and found a LC by Lauren Conrad dress for under $20. I snatched it right up and hopefully it won't be too big on me when I get it. Sometimes the sizes never fit me right and a size 2 that might fit perfectly in another dress, wears on me like a size 6. They didn't have the 0 I wanted so I took a chance and praying it fits. As you can see in the picture, it is blue just like I wanted and has the most gorgeous pattern of flowers. Now mind you, the best man and groomsmen are wearing linen suits not actual suits and that is why I think this dress will be dressy enough. It is supposed to be a very casual beach wedding so I think this will be great, especially with my Buffy blonde hair I'll have by then! I think it is a gorgeous dress and I love how it looks on Lauren Conrad. I love blue dresses or blue shirts with blonde hair. I think it just looks really good together. And even if it comes in and I put it on and it doesn't seem dressy enough, I still found a very cute dress and got it for under $20-brand new I might add. I'm happy with my new purchase. I also got 3 Zoya nail polishes for the price of one! They sent me a coupon and if you bought any one product you got two nail polishes for free. I was like, "Woah! Can't pass that up!" So I didn't! I got the colors Barbie, a gorgeous pink that I'll wear with my new dress, Petra, a darker gray for the fall, and Buffy, a shimmery champagne color. I'll admit I couldn't pass up getting Buffy, strictly because it was called Buffy. I know, it's sad. It's probably even sadder that I do that all the time, as in I tried the Buffy bar at Lush because it was called Buffy, not because it had a cult following. It all worked out though, I love the Buffy bar, hopefully I'll love my new Buffy nail polish, and I still love Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and my hair will be Buffy blonde soon!

I hope everyone has a great rest of the day, the sun is trying to peak out as I'm writing this. If it does rain again tonight I am making hot chocolate and since I don't have a book maybe I'll watch Buffy! You should watch Buffy! Until next time!

Have a Buffy filled night,
Christine

Saturdays, To Do List, Boots!

Ahh Saturday. My favorite kind of Saturday is one where I have nothing too important to do and I can really decide how my day goes. That is the kind of Saturday I have today! I do have something to do later tonight but I'm not even going to think about that until at least 5pm. I always like when I get a peek into someone else's schedule by seeing their today list so I thought I would share mine of what I might like to do today because as I'm watching this all I'm doing is watching Food Network! Anyone else love to watch other people cook food?

Christine's To Do List

1. Read some of the first Sookie Stackhouse novel (I'm 75% done!)
2. Treat myself to my Lush face mask.
3. Write up my yearly Christmas notes (Since I bought my sister her first gift already, I have to start keeping track like what I bought, what I spent, others ideas for gifts) Some of you might think I'm crazy but August is going to fly!!!
4. Write up the recipe for my City of Angels idea (That's for Embrace Your Skin people! Super exciting!)
5. Cook lunch/dinner! I make a killer quesadilla!
6. I might finally do my makeup and get dressed.
7. Outside concert with my boyfriend.

I love today! I don't usually have a day like this! I hope your day is as relaxing as mine!

I want to have like a Christmas series but I might do that on my channel because my family is more prone to read this than watch the videos. That probably won't be until October though because I don't want to seem all Christmas Crazy!!

I also wanted to share with you one thing I think I am putting on my Christmas Wishlist!
They are Steve Madden and I am in love with them! I really want them for fall so I might have to get them early for myself but we'll see!

This was short but hope you enjoyed!

xoxo,
Christine

Addicted to True Blood

True Blood. Ahh, how I love that show. I seriously have an addiction to it. On Sundays I am like jumping up and down because it comes on that day. I've always been into vampires and witches and things like that. I mean come on, I grew up watching Buffy. From the time I was 7 until currently I was love with that show. Technically, I was a late starter on True Blood. I bought Season 1 because I didn't have HBO at home and never opened it. I just didn't feel like starting a whole new series. Then someone got me Season 2 for a gift and I was like, "Wow, I should probably watch this considering I have both the seasons." But I didn't. Then I started dating JJ and he had HBO. So when his Aunt started saying how much she loved the show I got extremely interested. Me and his Aunt seemed to have a lot of the same tastes in TV. So I was like OK let's crack open this DVDs and start watching. I finished both seasons in like a week! Then I watched the few episodes I had missed on On Demand in a day and started watching them week by week. Now to go from being able to watch a new episode everyday then all of a sudden have to wait a whole year for Season 4 to start it was rough. Now that I am in my own apartment, I made sure we had HBO installed because I just didn't want to wait for the DVDs when I knew it would be airing every Sunday!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Season 4 started and I love it. Mainly because I am not a huge fan of Bill. I am 100% Team Eric all the way. I want a t-shirt that says that. Hmm, I might go look for one online. Found one!! I'm most likely going to buy that! I will post a picture of my cute new tshirt if I decide to get it, actually I'll post me wearing it if I get it. Here's what it looks like--->. Anyways, Sunday's episode made me so happy. For one, Eric's butt is something I can look at all the time so the shot of it from last night was great! Also, he is super cute in Jason's clothes. I love his character even more since his memory got wiped because he is just so innocent. I like the bad boy thing definitely but a bad boy with a shot of innocence is hot! I always chose the bad boys for the lead girl. I was always Team Spike on Buffy too. My name is Christine and I am guilty of liking bad boys. Not in real life though, my boyfriend is a sweetie. Only in the television world do I fall for their charm and smoldering stares. Sunday's episode also made me happy because like I said I don't like Bill and he walked in on Sookie and Eric started to get all naked with each other. Another reason I loved the episode, it really started the whole Sookies and Eric relationship. My boyfriend sits in his recliner mocking me saying, "It will never last with them so don't get excited or else you'll cry when it ends!" He is probably right but I don't care I am really excited about the two of them and I wish they would just stay together. I guess if I get ahead of the show when I'm reading the books I could find out. Anyone know how the seasons lace in with the books? And if you watch True Blood, let me know what you thought of Sunday's episode. I am dying to talk to someone about it!

Follow Your Dreams!

Hey guys! I have some pretty exciting news! First off let me start by saying my video will be uploaded tonight! I filmed it yesterday then totally slacked when I got home because I had to charge my battery then totally forgot to upload. It is there though, on my camera, waiting for me to upload it! Yesterday was also my sister's birthday so I stopped my my mom's house to say happy birthday to her. She turned 17! It made me feel old because I can still remember when I turned 17 and I feel like she is so much younger than me!

Anyways! On to the exciting news! So I have mentioned in the past how I have always wanted to be an actress, like seriously I have ALWAYS wanted to be an actress. I'd say from when I was born because even as a baby I loved to be in front of a camera. I like came alive when there was a camera around! Then as I got older I got more and more into it. It wasn't so much about the attention it was more that I really enjoyed acting. So I went to a Performing Arts High School and studied drama for 4 years and they mainly focused on the theatre end of it. I was never a huge theatre fan, I was always into the more natural aspect of film/television acting. Then I was somewhat pushed more towards college by my family and my acting took a backseat. Then when college didn't work out I had to get a job so I could afford all these bills that were coming in from school. Unfortunately, acting fell to the waste side and it always really upset me. I knew that was always my dream and I really felt like I was giving up. I wouldn't say I went into a depression but I was really kind of disheartened and I felt more trapped in New Jersey than I ever had.

I had a lot of happiness come into my life when I met JJ, who is now my boyfriend. We always had a great time and he really took my mind of work and how unhappy I really was here. We recently moved in together and I think that extra commitment that we made to each other kind of woke me up. I realized that even in my personal life I was so extremely happy but I wasn't really going after my dreams. When I talked to him about it he said he'd support me no matter what and that he would stick with me and that we were solid. I'm telling you it is much easier to start taking risks when you have someone that has your back 24/7 whether that be a family member, a friend, or your significant other. So I started really doing some research and trying to get back into acting. I am starting to save money for my headshots and some acting classes. I also signed up for a website that a local casting director uses a lot, so I knew it was legit. Unfortunately, a lot of crappy people are out there waiting to take advantage of aspriring actors/ actresses and anyway trying to break their way in the entertainment business. So this website let you submit yourself for as many roles that you fit and you pay $25 a year which isn't bad at all. I have been on there for about a month and not too many things totally fit me or some were just too far away or rush calls, which meant I had to be able to make it to NY in 30 minutes and living in South Jersey makes that impossible.

Last night my boyfriend and I were at home, he was playing a computer game and I was reading a Sookie Stackhouse novel (love them by the way!), when I got a text message saying to please check my e-mail and respond ASAP. So of course, I did and I actually had gotten chosen to be an extra in a movie they are filming in New York! It seems to be a low budget film that they are trying to raise money for but I was so excited because any callback just improves your resume. Also, I'd get to be on a real movie set and get some experience under my belt. Studying theatre gives me tons of theatre knowledge but not too much film knowledge. So I have to be in New York by 9am on Saturday and I'll work until 7pm and leave with an amazing experience!

I know the way I was talking might have built that up a litt bit but I am just so excited. Trust me when you are starting out working as an extra is a really good thing to come by. Most times, you'll do a lot of student films but this is actually a movie that they hope to get into theatres and each extra in my scene gets credit in the film and a close up angle and maybe even a line! I just couldn't wait to share that news with you guys! The film is called Blemished Light and they do have a website everyone can check out!

I'll be uploading tonight so look for my video, a cute pup named Tahmoh is featured!!

The Insanity of Online Shopping and Christmas in July

AHHH!!! I woke up at 7:00 today and didn't move my butt until 7:10! I showered the fastest I ever had put my makeup on, ripped one of my favorite dresses, :( and ran out the door at 7:40. I made it into work fine but I didn't get to film a video!

Anyways, I was shopping around the Internet last night, don't know why it isn't like I have money or anything, and I found something to die for! It is the Juicy Couture Mixed Stripe Pullover and I am pretty sure this is my must have sweater for fall! I love it so much! I just love how the stripes are different all over and the frame of it is just gorgeous. I NEED it! Unfortunately, it holds a hefty price tag of $158 and I'm like $158 short. Hopefully by the time I save the money up it'll still be around. Or maybe it will have eBay by then and it'll be somewhat cheaper. A girl can dream. Speaking of eBay I totally recommend it when you fall in love with a shirt like this and just can't afford it. I got my favorite Wildfox sweatshirt from eBay for $54 and it is regularly like $108. So there is a decent difference. If you are hesitant, only buy from top-rated sellers that have storefronts, meaning they sell hundreds of items, like the one I got my Wildfox shirt from. It might be more pricey than just a random person with just one listing but if you feel more comfortable with it than it is worth it.

And of course when you're shopping on a website you tend to find even more things you want so now I have an extremely long list of things I so desperately want. I have to get a job that pays some tips because if not it is going to be a sad Christmas for my family! Isn't it crazy that I am already worrying about Christmas?! I usually start around now when Christmas in July rears it's nerve wracking head. I'm especially amped up about it because it'll be my first Christmas in my apartment with my boyfriend. That is good and bad. It is bad because I always looked forward to waking up super early and finding the first present of the morning right in my room then I'd wake my sister up and we'd open our "room" presents on my Mom's bed with all the animals staring at us. I'll miss things like that but the idea of being able to surprise my boyfriend with a pile of gifts under our OWN tree is pretty exciting. His family doesn't seem to go all out for Christmas like mine does. They do it more frugal, which is smart nowadays, with a pollyanna and a $50 limit no exceptions rule. My family doesn't know what is good them and just spends their savings away on Christmas gifts! I know you're probably like this chick is crazy talking about Christmas already but I just chalk it up to the Christmas in July insanity. Anyways, waking up early tomorrow, going for a 6am jog, then filming a video after I beautify myself. I promise!

Bang Bang Pizza and Tough Cookies!

Hey everybody! Sorry I have been absent lately. I kind of feel like really sluggish this last week and I can't get over the feeling. It seemed every time I sat to film a video or workout or do anything that might be motivating I just was really not in the mood. So I kind of sat back, went to work, and watched my week pass me by.

I did manage to cook a very yummy meal one night for dinner that I was proud of. I like to think I am the master of quesadillas. I'm not the best cook but it seems that whenever you put a tortilla in front of me I manage to make something good. Usually I just make chicken quesadillas when my boyfriend is not really in the mood to cook or if we don't want to spend the money and order out. My Poppy had his own sauce company so I learned to cook with that very early on. So I can definitely make a killer chicken quesadilla. However, because of my lack of motivation and laziness my apartment is not really stocked with much food right now. I had shrimp, perogies, and pork chops in my freezer, and I HATE pork chops with a passion! If you have ever had Bonefish Grille's Bang Bang shrimp then you'll get where I got the idea for this meal because I really wanted Bang Bang shrimp. I took the shrimp out and defrosted them, which is crazy fast, I had no idea shrimp defrosted in seconds under cold water.  Then I made my own Bang Bang sauce. I took mayo, dry mustard, hot sauce, soy sauce, red chili pepper sauce, and lime juice and mixed it all together and surprisingly made a very close replica to Bang Bang shrimp sauce! I was so proud of myself and so was my boyfriend. :) Then I just toasted a tortilla in a saucepan put some tomatoes down and smothered the shrimp in my delicious sauce. I loved it! Because the tortilla sat on the stove a bit longer both our Bang Bang quesadillas turned out more like pizzas but they were still amazing. I just wish I wrote down how much of everything I put!

Has anyone been watching the show Tough Cookies on the Food Network? I have and I am in love with it! For one, it takes place in Jersey which makes me somewhat proud to have the best cookies ever in my state, and secondly, it is my Mom's best friend's cousins! They are kind of like family to my mom and apparently I have met them countless times! You can actually see my mom's best friend in some of the episodes though which is really cool! They are getting so bogged down with Internet orders that they really need extra help so I offered my help if they needed me! Maybe you'll see me on the show next season, their first season already wrapped on filming. If you want to try the best cookies ever order from Crazy Susan! My favorite is the Mint Chocolate Chip one. I'd like to try to make a Jr. Mint Cookie. Do you guys find that whatever TV show you watch, it kind of makes you want to take on that profession? Like, I have always wanted to be an actress, that is probably why I got sucked into TV and celebrity stuff so much, but I find then when I watch Tough Cookies, I want to make cookies for a living. Or when I watch Grey's Anatomy, I want to be a surgeon, which wouldn't work I have the shakiest hand ever! How about when you watch Buffy and you want to be a Vampire Slayer? TV can play tricks on your brain!

Anyways, I was just checking in and apologizing for being a zombie lately. I hopefully will film a video tomorrow and get it up by tomorrow night. Thanks for sticking around!

xoxo, Christine

What's Your Dream Room?

Hey everybody! So I filmed a video at my mom's the other day and I propped it a little bit different than usual so when I went to watch it back it cut off half my chin! So unfortunately I won't be posting a video today but I do have a great one planned for the weekend. I might film like a teaser of it tomorrow but the whole thing probably won't go up until later. It is super fun though so make sure to look out for that!

Being in an apartment has made me think of getting a house one day and how I would like to design that house. Shopping for apartment stuff was sooo much fun! it really got me more into interior design and things like that. Unfortunately, I didn't have an endless amount of money so most of the furniture we have in our apartment is hand me downs that were in really good shape. I got to pick out a ton of odds and ends and my favorite shop to do that at was Anthropologie. I love that kind of rustic, colorful look. If you haven't checked out their home section definitely check into it. While doing all that shopping and decorating I started dreaming of some of my dream rooms and I got really into it. Now I do live with my boyfriend so I couldn't completely do it my way. Now I wouldn't give up living with my boyfriend just to make our apartment more my style but I thought it would be fun to kind of fantasize about my dream house. I've included some of my favorite ideas for all different rooms all over the house. Most can be found at sites like House Beautiful, Elle Decor, and Country Living. Some are just pictures I have came across and all rights belong to the people that took them. Unfortunately these aren't from my home.

The first I'll mention is the bathroom. I love taking baths! So that is why I fell in love with this picture. Obviously you can't see everything and this specific bathroom probably wouldn't be my ideal bathroom but I love how the tub overlooks a view. I could picture it being a view of a beautiful lush garden that I worked hard on all day and now I am relaxing in my dream tub! It also has a very romantic feel to it which I do love. I always promised my boyfriend that when we did get a house we could do kind of an ocean/sailing theme in the bathroom. Hmm, maybe we'll have separate bathrooms. :) This bathroom does look extremely feminine so I know that wouldn't work for us but a girl can dream. That is the point of this post after all it would be what is ideal for me! And you guys! I want responses with pictures! I love getting inspiration!

The next had to be my favorite to pick out which surprised me since I'm not that great of a chef. Maybe it is because I found the absolute perfect picture in the whole world and this is my (and my boyfriend's) dream kitchen! It looks to have an unlimited about of space and just looks like a professional kitchen. I think if I had this kitchen I'd take it upon myself to learn how to make the most yummy dishes ever. I mean, I'd have to because people would just look at my kitchen and expect amazing food coming out of it.

The next is my closet. Oh boy, did I have so many pictures to pick from. I narrowed to down to two and I just can't pick because one cover the clothes and the other is shoes. I always told JJ, my boyfriend, that if the house we chose didn't have a walk in closet, or the ability for us to add one in, it probably wouldn't work for me. Only because I do have a good amount of clothes, mainly because I have changed sizes since I was 11, and without decent closet space I tend to get very messy. When it doesn't have a place or it is hard for me to get it in its place I get frustrated and just end up throwing everything all over the place.Unfortunately I need that extra room to stay tidy. We have already outgrown ALL the closets in our apartment because just like me my boyfriend has a lot of clothes! My ideal closet would be attached to the master bathroom that is attached to the master bedroom. Kind of like a master suite. Remember we are thinking dream house here!

The next room is the living room. I had some difficulty choosing this one because I wanted it to be cozy and welcoming but also have a little but of a rustic feel to it. Then I stumbled across this picture and fell in love. I am all about having a view, growing up and never having one makes me yearn for one, and this seemed to be looking outside! I could just imagine sitting there on a Sunday morning watching the sun get brighter. I know what you're thinking, this girl is going to be so picky when she chooses her house! And of course in New Jersey we don't really have much that could become a beautiful view unless you live right off the beach. Anyways, this room just kind of spoke to me and I know you can really only see the furniture but I liked everything about this picture. The furniture looks plush and cozy and the walls seem to give it the rustic look I love so much.

And last but not least, my bedroom. I can't say this is my absolute hands down dream bedroom but it is pretty close. Mainly because of the bed. I love like a canopy bed. I think they are extremely romantic and beautiful. I feel like I could really get a good nights sleep in this bed. I also always wanted to have a couch in my bedroom. Which might be weird, but I just want one. I want a spacious bedroom. My mom's house was over 100 years old so naturally in a house that old you have a lot of charm but you also have much smaller rooms. And even though the house was a decent size, its bedrooms, more specifically, were very small. I'm not used to a larger room so I would really like to have one in my future house.

I hope you enjoyed this post. It was really fun for me to write and it also lets you guys see the kind of style I go for in home decor. Leave pictures of your ideal rooms in the comments! Until next time!

xoxo, Christine

Sick at the shore :(

I am not having the vacation I planned! I got so sick two days in. For one, on the first day I got hit in my nose with a football. I was sitting in my beach chair minding my own business reading my Allure magazine and BAM! Football to the face. I'm not sure if I mentioned it before but I am oddly fond of my nose. I'd have to say it is my favorite feature. I just love my nose. So that swelled up a tiny bit and got a cut on it. I also took a swift kick to the gut in the water when someone pushed me into my kicking boyfriend. I've still had a good time though. I went to the boardwalk and got fried oreos and chocolate covered bacon. Chocolate covered bacon is extremely delicious I must say. I highly recommend it. I'm being sun safe using my sunscreen and moisturizer as extra protection for my face. My gelish manicure is also holding up extremely well. Besides my nails growing faster than ever before but that seems to be my luck this vacation. Oh well, I'm hoping to plan a nice February vacation for just me and my boyfriend to celebrate both of our birthdays and valentines day on a 5 day vacation. :) I know this was short but I am going to get back to my trashy celebrity magazines and soak in the sun. Hope everyones week is turning out great! Video up either on Sunday or Monday :) love to all!

Shore Vacation and Video Up Tonight!

Hey everyone! I filmed a video very early this morning once again and I will have it up for you guys sometime tonight. Sadly, I didn't pack early like I was supposed to, so I will be scrambling tonight to get everything packed and finished in time. I am the biggest procrastinator of all time! I leave tomorrow morning for a week at the shore and I am just not ready! And of course, when you rush it is extremely easy to forget things which makes me nervous. I am bringing my camera and I hope to take pictures but I always usually forget to but I am going to try this time and post some up here. :) I'm also hoping I just won't disappear for the whole week and I am able to write some blog posts or something but it isn't just me and my boyfriend it is a whole group of people so it kind of depends on what they have planned for the days and nights too. I just know my days are going to be filled with a lot of relaxing on the beach with sand in between my toes!

Anybody got an good book suggestions? I already have one in mind but I would definitely take suggestions even just for an any day read. Let me know!

What are your beach essentials? It might help me not forget all of mine!! I am definitely going to rely on my Magically Cool Liquid Powder by MAC. I think that will feel so nice in the hot summer heat and give me a nice glow. Also might feel good on any sunburn, which I am hoping I don't get.

Check out my channel for the new video tonight. I am one person away from 50 subscribers! That is super exciting! Thank you guys for all the love and support!

xoxo, Christine

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!

Hey everybody! I hope everybody had a great 4th of July! I always get a little depressed when the holiday is over but I am going to the shore for a week so I am super excited about that. I am planning on doing a video on like "the ultimate beach bag," which would be everything I think is crucial for a great beach experience. It'll be a fun video and I will definitely get to it as long as I don't wait til the last minute to pack!

So I am writing this after the devastating news from the Casey Anthony trial and I don't really want to get into it too much I just wanted to quick get my feelings out and hopefully get rid of the sick feeling in my stomach. I think now since she was found not guilty on all counts of murder and aggravated child abuse all we can all hope for now is that Caylee is resting in peace and her mother will have to pay for her crimes when her time is up. Obviously with that statement you all know where I stand but I just felt that since I just watched the verdict on TV it would literally drive me insane to not mention it.

Anyways on to other things, I have decided to go Buffy blonde, you can see what I am talking about in the post below. It isn't going to be right away. I am probably going to wait until August just because I have other expenses this month and I also have to save up for my new iPhone which I am able to get August 4th!! I am so excited about both of those things I can't tell you.

Also this Thursday I am getting my nails done and it is actually a different kind of manicure I have never had done before. It is called a gel manicure where you can get any color you want, I am thinking more of a coral color, and it doesn't add any length to your nail but I think it might kind of be like an acrylic nail but much better for your nails. I am not sure yet but I will definitely let you guys know! I think I have mentioned before how bad I am at doing my own nails and I tend to bite mine and they are so weak that I am hoping I have found something to make them be nice.  I will let you all know how it turns out soon!

I am also very close to putting up some items on Etsy. I am thinking I am going to start adding my scrubs first them move on to soap later but I'm not going to do it until I get back from the shore so if anything is purchased there won't be a delay in shipping. Let me know what you guys think and what you would like to see the most on there first?!

Keep in touch guys! Let me know how you spent your 4th of July or even just leave a comment saying hi!!

Special Announcement and Happy 4th!!

Hey everybody!

Anyone have fun plans for the 4th of July?! I'm pretty excited, I love the parades and the food and the fireworks! It is a great holiday! I always feel bad for my dogs because they go so scared with the fireworks but this year my town isn't doing any so the noise shouldn't bother them too much. I'll be posting a quick video later on today, I did a fun little tag. It isn't the one I really wanted to do because I didn't have that much time so I will just be saving that one for a little while. I hope to be filming my June favorites soon but I might not get to that for about a week or so, so it will be a late June favorites. Also, I was going to wait to film a video to make a quick exciting announcement but I don't want to wait until I have the time so I'm just going to do it now.

To start funding for my line Embrace Couture, I decided to start a small beauty/soap line recently. I have to been working on getting all of my stuff together and playing with some recipes and everything is coming along very well. When I do start selling it, I am probably going to use Etsy so I will have a link for that soon. I'd like to know what kind of scents you guys like in your soaps and how you feel about facial scrubs and all that so please let me know so I can work on making things you guys would enjoy! I'm really trying to make my clothing line happen I just definitely need some money to really get it up and moving so this is just a fun thing I'm doing on the side to kind of get everything started. I hope you guys like this idea and will give me your feedback so I can really please all different preferences. :)

Now this is a question for my blog people? Do you guys have adsense because I had a heck of a time setting mine up and I want it on my channel too. Let me know!

Got some great blog posts ideas and I might just sit and write some tonight so when I am at the shore I can just post them so I'm not gone for a whole week. Thanks for all the ongoing support and don't forget to check out my channel! http://www.youtube.com/user/EmbraceCouture :)

Embrace Couture Anthem :)

Hey everybody!

I heard something the other day that made me extremely excited and really creative. I found, what is now in my head, the anthem for Embrace Couture. So when I am drawing myself out and fighting with my silly sewing machine, which seems to be an everyday occurrence, I can listen to this song to remind myself why I'm trying to make this successful and why is it important. Now I am 21 and this isn't someone I would normally listen to but I have fallen in love with this song and the meaning of it. :)
Selena Gomez has nailed the perfect motivational song with this tune! And I am now a fan of hers because of it! I always thought she was a cute girl and a funny actress in the few things I have seen of her but now I might actually go out of my way to listen to her songs. :) Check it out above and check out my most recent video at http://www.youtube.com/user/EmbraceCouture!

I'm thinking about making an Embrace Couture soundtrack for myself to motivate myself! I'll share it on here when I finish it! I'm crazy picky with music so it might take me a little bit. Also have a haul coming up on my channel of the few things I just ordered from MAC and Borba. :) Subscribe for cool videos and Embrace updates!

Don't forget to watch The Voice tonight at 9pm on NBC and Pretty Little Liars on at 8pm on ABC Family!

Self Tanner, Acting, and Vlog!

Hey everybody! It's been a while since my last blog post so I am so sorry! I have a couple things to mention in this post and hopefully I'll keep doing posts a couple times a week.

I had a self tanner disaster the other day! It was bad! I used Victoria's Secret Bare Bronze Tanning Spray and oh my goodness did it come out bad! Surprisingly my knees look great! Nice and evenly tanned but as it goes below my knee there are just splotches of orange. :( Very shameful. I did everything I was supposed to, exfoliated, held 6 inches from my body, sprayed evenly, didn't put clothes on for 15 minutes and still a self tanner nightmare. Oh well, we shed thousands of dead skin cells every second so it should be off in a couple of days. Then I will be trying again with Jergens Natural Glow Self Tanner and I have heard good things about that so far. When I first post this it won't have the picture of my orange disaster of a leg but I'll add that in later tonight just so you can see how bad that self tanner works. I even had to wear long pants to work today and it is hot. Definitely summer dress time!!

Are any of you into acting? Acting has always been what I have wanted to do with my life and I actually went to a performing arts school for high school, best school ever, and I'm starting to really want to get back into it. I gave it up for awhile, I think it was a combination of feeling the pressure to go to college and the realization of how hard the business is to break into, but I always seem to come back to it. If any of you are interested in it let me know! I can always tell you guys some of the things I have tried to break into the acting world and what I am trying now if you guys are curious!

On my channel, http://www.youtube/user/EmbraceCouture, I just recently added a follow me around vlog and absolutely loved doing it!! It was a little under 3 minutes so it wasn't very long but I am thinking about trying to do another one soon and hopefully make it a bit longer. Follow Me Around Vlogs were always my favorite to watch so it was cool to be able to put one up. Check it out and show some love!

I missed about a week of no blogs and no videos just because I was feeling a little discouraged about some things and I just took the week to do whatever. However, when I was filming my follow me vlog, I was like, "why did you stop this for a week?! It's fun!?" And I am thinking the same thing as I type this up. I hope to not be gone long again except that I do go to the shore July 9th to the 16th and I have no internet there so maybe then but I guess I could write some and post them through my phone. I don't know, my phone is crap so we will have to see! Thanks for reading!!

The Need for Embrace Couture

Heyyyy everybody!

I just got back from taking my little sister out for her birthday. I actually took her to meet one of her favorite actors Nicholas Brendan from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. We have been going to those types of conventions for awhile now and she always gets super excited when she sees him. Totally worth the long lines and crazy crowds. We are Buffy lovers so we do love conventions like this. We don't get into all the costumes and things like that but we do get all hyped up when we see our favorite stars. Today I actually did already meet most of the people there besides Julie Benz, so I got her picture and autograph today. :) It was more for my sister than myself anyway.

I'm not writing this though to just talk about my day to you guys,. Unfortunately, and I hate to word it this way, but the Buffy fans are some of the most "normal" I guess you could say. No way really dresses up and gets into costumes and paints heir whole body silver like some of the other fan genres do. I hate to use the word normal but I am just trying to make everyone understand my point. As I walked through the lines and I heard a lot of negative comments about some of the girls bodies that dressed in the costumes. For example, there was a girl dressed like Wonder Woman, I would never call her heavy or overweight but she wasn't super skinny either. Her costume looked somewhat small on her and someone made a comment about how she was bubbling over her costume. Well she overheard and to see her face drop broke my heart. Next time I saw her she was changed into normal clothes and just looking defeated. The look on her face just made me realize even more how important it is to spread the word of healthy body image. That girl took a huge risk today and got her feelings destroyed. And I regret not telling her to wear her costume proud and tell everyone else she didn't care what they thought. Girls shouldn't have to feel like they have to live up to a supermodel standard. And that is why I am working on this clothing line. Every time my sewing machine jams or my fingers get needle poked I can keep on going and hopefully eventually help girls have more inner peace with their body.

Wear your costumes proud ladies and EMBRACE YOUR BODY!!! <3

I'm Blonde...Kinda

Gorgeous hair, funny face :)
Hey everybody!

About a month ago I did something I had never done before which was go blonde. Well, my hair got lightened two shades and I got blonde highlights. However, I wouldn't really classify myself as a full blonde because I still feel like I have a lot of brown hair underneath all the blonde. So I'm thinking I want to go blonder. I was originally going to go blonde for the summer then darker in the winter but I am starting to think in August I am going to even blonder! I just can't decide how much blonde my face can handle? What do you guys think, looking at the picture of me with my natural hair can my face go even blonder than I am now? Surprisingly, I don't have any pictures of my new-ish hair but in my recent videos I have my blonde hair so check them out to see the difference I have already! I'm thinking maybe Reese Witherspoon blonde or Kristin Bell blonde? I'm just not so sure. Or do I go Buffy Blonde? Have any of you guys ever gone from brunette to extreme blonde, which is what I think I really want?

My favorite picture of her!
Anyways, I wanted to talk about my YouTube channel for a second because I got a request from one of my subscribers asking me to do an Urban Decay makeup collection video. She went on to explain that I would just show all of my Urban Decay products instead of my whole collection, which would be better for me because I tend to be a mess. I don't think I have actually ever seen any videos like that but I think I am going to go ahead and do it sometime next week probably. It might be cool to see it broken down by brand. Especially if you're a vegan or you are strictly against testing on animals, which is something I always try to check my boxes for and am usually disappointed in a lot of good brands. So subscribe to my channel so you can find out when that gets uploaded and subscribe for lots of other cool stuff. I am slowly introducing my animals into videos when I'm at my mom's house.

Buffy Blonde! Lover her blonde!
Tattoo blog or video will be coming. Haven't decided on if I should just post pictures on here or if I should do a video of them either way I would go into why I chose each one and stuff like that. I am also designing one for my boyfriend so I can upload my drawing here once I perfect it. It is going to come out like a heaven/hell underwater scene for his back. I think it'll look really cool. I'm excited to be working on it but I tend to be a perfectionist so I erase alot.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I know I have extra pictures on this one but I wanted to show you the blondes I might go! Have a great day and don't forget to check out my channel!

xoxo, Christine

PS: My spell check says blonde is spelled "blond" but I am keeping blonde because I have seen it that way a lot and it looks better!

My brain is screaming for a mini cake...

My weekend did not turn out like I thought it would! No hiking, no food shopping, no blog posts, nothing really all that productive! I apologize for promising blog posts that never came! I did do one thing semi-productive though. I actually got down a couple of designs that I want to try to sew. I got a little a head of myself and instead of just drawing underwear I was drawing dresses and all kinds of stuff! It got insane! I actually think I need to have someone just teach me how to sew instead of trying to figure it out by myself. I might have better luck with it and it might not take me as long.

Like these?!?!
Ok so this questions is kind of irrelevant for the next 3 months because I am starting a strict workout plan to just get more tone and muscle to my body but does anyone know how to make mini cakes? I mean like they are individual cakes that look like a really nice big cake but mini-sized? I think they are the cutest things and whenever I get married I am going to have mini cakes for everyone instead of one big cake. If anyone knows how to do that or how hard it would be let me know. I'm not the best in the kitchen but I can usually follow a recipe! I know this was short but my head is totally all over the place today. All I keep thinking about is mini cakes!

So I filmed a video...

I filmed a video today at my lunch break and I went to upload it on to YouTube and it said it would take 234 minutes! My mom needs to take my camera for the weekend in 90 minutes! So obviously I couldn't post like I wanted to and I am very sorry but hopefully I can do extra videos for you guys next week to make up for it...please forgive me? The video was actually quite rambley but I talked about how I healed my lips. Hurraw! Hurraw for healed lips and Hurraw! the brand. :)

I also asked if all the Harry Potter movies were worth watching?! I haven't seen them or read the books and one day I was like you know what, I am going to watch all of those movies! So am I wasting 14 hours of my life or are they going to be awesome. Hint about what TV I like, I love love love Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse, pretty much all Whedon shows, but I also love Glee and Modern Family and some other random shows.

Also, I am starting Gossip Girl soon. I got season 1-3 pretty cheap and I'm going to have a Gossip Girl marathon soon!

And I introduced my cat Sinbad. I haven't really covered how many animals I have, have I? Well maybe that will be one of my blog posts this weekend! I have lots of pictures so I'll put them up :) You guys already met Tahmoh in a video and Rocco's picture is on here! I'm a crazy animal lover! Like, so much that my next tattoo is probably going to be the word Purr on my hip but with extra r's and in cursive.

I could also do a post on my tattoos! Right now I have 3 but I'm one of those people that believe your body is a canvas and if you choose you can get creative and display art on yourself. My mind is going crazy with ideas right now and I am getting pretty excited! Let me know if you guys are! I love communication! Hearing from you guys brings me huge happiness. :)

I'm going hiking this weekend so wish my legs luck! I am also starting a new workout plan this weekend, got to go food shopping for some healthy food! I hope you all have an amazing weekend and I hope to hear from you and hoepfully you'll enjoy my posts!

Glee, Promotion, and Hurraw!

Hey everybody!

Glee was so amazing last night! If any of you like Glee and haven't gone to one of their live shows you have to check it out. Their talent will blow you out of the water! Unfortunately no good picture. I was pretty high up so you really couldn't make out who the people were in the pictures. They were great seats though I had a great view of the stage.

Not my picture, but it is from the 2011 tour :)
So today's blog post is me reaching out for your opinions on something. If any of you have YouTube channels or you watch YouTube videos, how do you feel about the promoted YouTube videos? They are the ones that show up at the top of a search of are an ad that pops up during a video? I was thinking, not right now because my videos are more for just fun, but in the future when I do have my line up and running and have a website where you can buy my stuff, do you all think promoting through a video on YouTube and using the YouTube promotion program would be a good way to go? I just want to hear your opinions because I know that I usually don't pay attention to those ads but I'm sure some people do. Let me know what you think in the comments below please. :)

Also, I'm sure a lot of you guys found my blog through ElleandBlair.com, so you most likely have read their Hurraw! review and giveaway. Ok, so I'm the sucker that didn't wait to hear if she won the review and went and bought them the day I read the review and they are amazing. I just got them yesterday and I am hooked. Recently, my lips have been really chapped, I'd say for almost the last week. I used my MAC Bountiful lip plumper for a week straight and it dried out my lips so bad! Nothing was helping, I had my Fresh Sugar lip treatment and it wasn't showing any results whatsoever. I was hating the way my lips were looking, I couldn't wear lipstick because it showed every flake in my lip then my Hurraw! came. I ordered three. I ordered the grapefruit one because I love the citrusy smell of grapefruit, the Sun one, and the Moon one. (The Moon one is a night treatment for your lips.) So I used the grapefruit one every half hour on my lips and I actually thought they were feeling a bit smoother then after the Glee concert I went home and before I went to bed I applied the Moon Hurraw! and when I woke up in the morning TADA! My lips were almost back to 100%. I could not believe how well these worked and how amazing they were! I am forever a Hurraw! lover now and I am so glad I didn't wait to see if I won because if I did my lips would still be chapped! I am impressed! There is a lime one I want to try too so that will be my next purchase. I think I am going to mention them in my next video too, which I hope to get up tomorrow and you will be able to see the excitement on my face! Actually, see the excitement right in the picture posted. :) It is a little small but I took it on my phone while I was typing this.  They are super great, you should check them out I wouldn't steer you wrong!

On an end note, spread the word of my blog and channel so I can get to that giveaway! It gets me motivated and puts a fire under my booty to start producing undies! Thanks for all the ongoing support and remember let me know what you think of those promoted videos!

Embrace Couture Vlog :)

Hey everybody,

I'm going to the Glee concert tonight! Can't wait! I'll try to get a good picture of it and post it for you guys but I'm not sure where the seats are and if my camera will cooperate with me because sometimes it doesn't want to change back to picture instead of video.  So that is going to be my night!

I was originally going to write this up last night but The Voice was 2 hours long instead of 1 and that was great surprise. Does anyone watch that show? It is the best! Only Christina and Blake's teams went last night so Javier didn't go, which if you have read my previous posts, you know he is my favorite. I have fallen in love with Dia Frampton's voice. She did her only beautifully done, piano rendition of "Heartless" last night and stole my heart completely. I really liked her in the beginning because her voice is so different but now she is probably one of my favorites. It is sad that two people from each team go home next week and I am so nervous for my picks! If you guys watch, who do you like?

Yesterday I also posted a video about my upcoming clothing line. I say upcoming because I am still working hard on mastering what I need to make it a successful line. I just wanted to put my message on here for anybody who isn't subscribed to my channel on YouTube, Embrace Couture. I am trying to send the message out of healthy body image for girls, which I have mentioned in my previous blog posts. So I decided that if you guys spread the word of this blog and my channel and I get 100 subscribers or even 100 followers I would then hold a giveaway for one of my first creations for my line, Embrace Couture. I think it would be a really fun way to get more support and help spread the word of healthy body image! Go check out my vlog about Embrace Couture! Let me know what you guys think because your opinions matter to me.

You guys are beautiful, always remember that!

My June Wishlist!

Hey everybody! So I'm sure if you enjoy blogs like mine or watch YouTube videos similar to mine, there is probably a big part of you that loves to shop! Correct? We all have our shopping obsessions. I used to have an extremely big shoe weakness, and now it has turned into a weakness for clothes, makeup, electronics, books, and still, most importantly, shoes. I just thought it would be a little fun for us to share our June wishlists! I want to make this an every month thing so if you write in the comments below leaving your blog link and post a June wishlist up, I'll follow you! We can all grow our blogs this way and have fun doing them! I'm going to give the top couple things on my wishlist now because I'm sure you would not want the whole list!
#1. Steve Madden Wildd Sandal

#2. IPhone4 in White

#3. MAC Cosmetics "Beach Girl" Powder Blusher

#4. Benefit Cosmetics "Cha Cha Tint"

#5.Wildfox Daisy Sweatshirt

#6. New Adventures of Christine DVDs.

#7. Miraculous Swimwear by Victoria's Secret

#8. A Puppy!!

So more than anything I would love to have a puppy in my apartment but no puppies allowed. :( I always grew up surrounded by animals and it is really weird not living with one. I love boxers so that is why I posted this picture but I actually found it on the DailyPuppy. (Cutest site ever!) Every summer calls for some new sandals, the hottest summer makeup, a sweatshirt for beach nights, a funny tv show to make you smile and a hot new bathing suit. And of course the latest phone to keep you updated with all your friends and of course man's best friend. This is my June wishlist! I hope you all enjoyed and will do one for yourself!

Love to all,
Christine
